Journalist Oleksandr Lemenov is wanted

the State Watch NGO Oleksandr Lemenov. This event has caused a significant resonance in society, as Lemenov is one of the key figures in the fight against corruption in Ukraine.

This became known from the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, Law and Business reports.

This decision was made in connection with O. Lemenov's malicious failure to appear at the Bila Tserkva CCC and the Bila Tserkva police department.

A week ago, the police sent O. Lemenov a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 336 of the Criminal Code, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.

As it became known, O. Lemenov fled from the Bila Tserkva CCC car after being detained at a restaurant in Kyiv. At that time, he was reportedly ignoring summonses and evading military service.

However, yesterday, O. Lemenov stated on social networks that he was allegedly mobilized. In fact, he remains a wanted person who has been served with a notice of suspicion.

Moreover, yesterday, patients of the 3rd City Hospital, located on Petro Zaporozhets Street, in Kyiv, appealed to the Dniprovskyi District Department of the National Police of Kyiv with a request to ensure order and protect them from the aggressive behavior of O. Lemenov.

Currently, a court decision has authorized his search, and he is in the "Oberig" program as a wanted person, and is also included in the wanted database on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This is not the first time that anti-corruption activists have evaded military service. In business circles, this phenomenon is called "shabuning." Other prominent activists have previously evaded military service.

This situation caused widespread public outcry and also raised the question of the responsibility of public figures who are actively engaged in public activities.
