The StopKor editorial team continues to monitor the departure of Ukrainian deputies and officials abroad during the full-scale war. This time, journalists analyzed the trips of Victoria Ptashnyk, a Kyiv City Council deputy from the European Solidarity party, deputy chairman of the Kyiv City Council's standing commission on regulations, parliamentary ethics and corruption prevention. According to the investigation, Ptashnyk repeatedly traveled abroad during the war, in particular in 2023 and 2024.
Victoria Ptashnyk was on vacation in Croatia, Cyprus, and also made business trips to the Netherlands and the USA. According to her, all these trips were business trips paid for by a private company, which the deputy did not specify. According to her declaration, Ptashnyk works at the law firm “MAMUNYA IP”, which belongs to her husband Oleksandr Mamun. The Ptashnyk family owns real estate in Kyiv, but all the property is registered in the husband’s name.
Interestingly, Oleksandr Mamunya has ties to the law firm “AEQUO”, which has repeatedly come under journalistic scrutiny due to its cooperation with high-ranking officials of the previous presidential period, in particular with the former head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Filatov. In addition, Mamunya is a partner of businessmen accused of attempting to raid the agricultural holding “Agromars”.
Thus, the question arises as to why a private firm associated with the Ptashnyk family is paying for the deputy's trips abroad during the war. These circumstances raise certain suspicions and cast doubt on the transparency of the actions of the deputy and her husband, which leads to the logical question: does Ptashnyk have something she is trying to hide in the context of these trips?
