According to our source in law enforcement, for unblocking 2.6 billion hryvnias of the Russian casino Pin-Up, judge of the Pechersk court Svitlana Smyk received a bribe of 13 million hryvnias and “retired.”
Recall that 2.6 billion hryvnias of the online casino Pin-Up, whose real owners are Russians , were confiscated by ARMA and sent to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
But in the spring of 2024, Pechersk Court judge Svitlana Smyk, by her decision, lifted the arrest of 2.6 billion hryvnias, effectively returning them to the Russians.
This decision of the Pechersk court caused a wide public outcry, and the then head of ARMA, Olena Duma, publicly questioned the integrity of judge Svitlana Smyk :
“Judge of the Pechersk court Svitlana Smyk not only held a hearing, but also managed to immediately issue a court ruling and a resolution on the cancellation of the arrest of 2.6 billion hryvnias of Pin-Up. This never happens every day. Here, you need to think.
The National Agency has already allocated these funds to the purchase of Military Bonds, and therefore to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The court's cynical position. I am convinced that this is not happening for no reason."
In addition to the decision to return 2.6 billion hryvnias to Russians, the judge of the Pechersk court is known for a number of other questionable decisions that were likely accompanied by a corruption component.
Thus, previously, Judge Svitlana Smyk was a defendant in a case about delaying and closing cases regarding drunk driving .
Between 2019 and 2021, Judge Svitlana Smyk reviewed more than three hundred cases of drunk drivers, but in 76% of cases, she delayed the consideration and closed the proceedings due to the expiration of the deadlines.
Despite significant public outcry, Judge Svitlana Smyk received only a "reprimand" for the mass "excuse of drunk drivers."
No. 757/28800/20-p in 2020 , which is why she does not stop even from making decisions in favor of the Russians during a full-scale invasion.
