The government has approved a bill that limits the list of citizens who will be entitled to defer from military service. It is, in particular, about students, teachers and researchers - now not everyone will be able to stay in the rear.
According to TSN, the document provides a review of the booking rules, which can significantly affect the educational sphere. If the bill approves the Verkhovna Rada, it will come into force immediately after publication.
Who retains the right to defer
After the change will remain booked:

students of up to 25 years of age, who receive their first higher education (full -time or dual form);

students of vocational and colleges, if they entered up to 25 years;

interns, residents and doctoral students;

scientists, teachers and educators who work at least 0.75 rates in schools, colleges, technical schools or universities;
-
Officially employed as of January 1, 2025, teachers of environmental, technical or military-patriotic directions in state or municipal institutions of extracurricular education.
Who will lose the opportunity to stay in the rear
Rights to delay are deprived of:

foreign university students who entered after February 24, 2022;

Citizens studying for the second time (receive a second higher education).
In other words, training abroad, if it was started after a full -scale invasion, will not be recognized as a ground for deferral. The same goes for a diploma in Ukraine - this category is no longer considered protected.
After agreeing in the Cabinet of Ministers, the bill must be registered in the Verkhovna Rada. If the document is supported by MPs and signed by the President, the new rules will come into force from the moment of official publication.
