The Government of Ukraine adopted important changes in the field of health care, which improve citizens' access to modern medical technologies and treatment. The Cabinet of Ministers included magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the list of medical products purchased at state expense. This news was announced by the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, reports UNN.
The changes affected the list of medicines and medical products that are purchased with budget funds for the implementation of state programs and centralized health care measures. An important item was added to this list — magnetic resonance imaging systems, which will now be available for purchase by healthcare facilities.
Melnychuk noted that these changes relate not only to the purchase of equipment for clinics, but also to the expansion of the supply of medical institutions, in particular for cluster and supercluster institutions, as well as for laboratories working in the field of radiopharmaceuticals.
In addition, the government has updated the list of medicines for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, adding new items to it, which will significantly improve the availability of medicines for patients who need this important treatment.
These initiatives are important steps in the direction of improving medical services in Ukraine and providing hospitals with the necessary modern equipment for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
