The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new rules of trade service of the population, which will come into force after the completion of martial law and the full implementation of the updated law on consumer protection. The updated rules contain both improving the current standards and new requirements for business, in particular, accessibility for people with disabilities.
New legislation obliges trading facilities and catering establishments to create conditions for convenience of persons with disabilities. This includes the mandatory availability of ramps, special parking spaces and the opportunity to receive assistance from the seller. In addition, mobile outlets must be organized so as not to interfere with low -mobility groups of the population to access transportation and other facilities.
Other changes include the expansion of consumer rights to obtain information about goods and sellers in digital format. From now on, buyers will be able to scan QR codes placed in consumer corners to obtain the information you need, and if necessary, they can invite it in paper.
The organization of trade is also being improved, in particular the stores will provide separate premises for storage of things by employees. The updated rules clarify the requirements for the use of measuring devices that must be accurate and comply with metrology legislation.
Online stores have also been changed. They are now obliged to provide full information about the goods and the seller, as well as comply with the requirements for warehouses and delivery of goods. In addition, the new rules clearly regulate the implementation of wholesale trade, including through online stores.
Particularly important is the ban on the sale of goods that may look like food but are not edible, including fruits that can be dangerous, especially for children.
