Famous Ukrainian singer Kamaliya shared the details of her divorce from Pakistani billionaire Mohammad Zahoor, with whom she was married for 20 years. In an interview with Focus, the artist revealed the reasons that led to the breakup of their relationship.
According to Kamaliya, the main reason for the conflicts was a misunderstanding with Zahur's daughter from her first marriage. She noted that the girl did not want to communicate with her and did not try to find a common language. The singer, together with her daughters Arabella and Mirabella, as well as her husband, left for London at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, where Zahur's eldest daughter lived.
Kamaliya stressed that the businessman's daughter was a constant initiator of conflicts and actively interfered in their family life. "One of Zahur's big mistakes was that he brought us under the same roof with his children from his first marriage," she noted, adding that she had a good relationship with Zahur's son, while her daughter was jealous of her.
Kamaliya said that she tried to discuss these problems with her husband, but he did not support her, but instead sided with his children. “I expected support from him as a legal husband and the father of our children,” she noted. Constant quarrels and a tense atmosphere in the house led to the singer deciding to return to Ukraine, leaving the children with their father in London.
When the daughters arrived at their mother's house, they told her that their older sister wanted to cut their hair. This situation infuriated Kamaliya, as she had not been warned about it. She turned to Zahur again, but his answer only increased her disappointment. "When I asked why such decisions were being made without me, he emotionally replied: 'What do you want? Do you want me to abandon my daughter? Then I would rather divorce you than abandon her.' That was the last straw," the singer concluded.
Despite the divorce, Kamaliya said she maintains contact with Mohammad Zahoor. They often meet when she comes to London to visit her daughters.
