The head of one of the key units of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau, Pavel Ershov, together with his wife, declared considerable savings in currency and real estate, much of which is decorated for close relatives. Despite the public struggle against corruption, Ershov's family adheres to the traditional scheme of hiding assets through relatives.
According to ABSultation, according to Pavel Ershov's declaration, it saves $ 40.8 thousand and 12.5 thousand euros, most of which are in cash. Additionally - UAH 138 thousand in accounts. His wife, Lydia Bychikhin, also NABU detective, indicated UAH 31,000 and $ 15.6 thousand. Some of the funds are also not stored in banks.
In fact, the couple lives in the capital in an apartment of 83.6 m², decorated in 2018 for the mother -in -law Nina Bychikhin and both of her daughters. The declaration stated that housing was purchased for UAH 2 million. Interestingly, Bichikhina-mother herself also has another apartment in Kharkiv with an area of 44.4 m².
In addition, Pavel Ershov declared his own Kharkiv apartment for 88.2 m², which has been in 1999, and his wife is a residential building in the village of Slobozhansk, Kharkiv region (96.4 m²), an apartment in Kharkiv (89.5 m²) and a land plot (600 m²). All this real estate was also acquired before their work in NABU.
There is no transport of Pavel Ershov himself. Instead, in 2019, the 2011 Toyota Auris car was recorded on his wife's sister. This is another typical detail in the structure of assets of the anti -corruption family.
In 2024, Pavel Ershov declared more than UAH 2 million in salaries at NABU, as well as 50 thousand hryvnias from the NGO Justgroup. His wife received 1.4 million hryvnias of income, working in the same department as a senior detective.
Despite a high -profile position and public anti -corruption rhetoric, the lifestyle of NABU detectives and his family demonstrates a constant Ukrainian practice of registration of property for relatives, cash storage and the use of a "family circle" to manage assets.
We will remind, according to the law, all NABU officials should not only file declarations, but also adhere to high standards of transparency. However, as the example of Ershov shows, in practice, these principles are easy to get around - with the help of apartments for mother -in -law, cars for sisters and currency "under the pillow".
