The head of the Ternopil administration is accused of a large-scale land scam

Ivan Kuz, the head of the Main Directorate of the State Geocadastre in the Ternopil region, found himself at the center of a loud scandal. 11.2-hectare community plot with the help of a forged state document.

The scandalous plot of land with the cadastral number 6123486200:04:001:0573 was registered as an "Inter-business enterprise for beef production" with a charter capital of only 3,986 hryvnias. The forged state document shows the date January 2, 1994, which fell on a Sunday when no documents could be issued.

Another "mistake" was specifying the name of the settlement "Veliki Mlynivtsi", although this name officially appeared only in 2015, when the village of Radyanske was renamed in accordance with the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, Ivan Kuz put pressure on the head of a state-owned enterprise under the State Geocadastre, forcing him to produce and submit forged documents.

Kuzya's case is linked to his close ties with People's Deputy Mykola Lyushniak from the "Trust" parliamentary group and Ternopil Regional Council deputy Oleg Shchygol. Shchygol, by the way, was already detained in March 2024 for demanding a bribe from a serviceman of the Armed Forces.

This is not the first scandal involving Ivan Kuzya. He is also involved in criminal proceedings from 2020, which investigates the illegal allocation of 18 plots of land to relatives, which led to serious consequences. Later, all plots were transferred to one person related to the same People's Deputy Lyushniak.

Despite the numerous facts of crimes and the evidence base, Ivan Kuz has not yet been brought to justice. Local media indicate that his impunity is due to the support of influential politicians, including Mykola Lushnyak.

Public indignation is caused not only by the fact of the scam itself, but also by a large-scale corruption scheme, which was probably implemented not in the interests of Kuzya personally, but under the protection of political "curators".

Currently, the law enforcement officers are continuing the investigation, and the community is demanding justice and bringing to justice those guilty of looting the resources of the state and citizens.
