In connection with the threat of a breakthrough of Russian special forces into Kyiv, an urgent meeting of the capital's Defense Council decided to "urgently consider the issue of holding events involving a large number of people.".
The reason was frequent shelling, statements by the Russian Federation about its intentions to increase the number of missile attacks. The authorities also "do not rule out the threat of attempts by the enemy to penetrate the territory of the city of the DRG, the involvement of agents of Russian special services and other hostile elements to destabilize the situation in the capital.".
They say it was gathered because of Russia's intentions to increase the number of missile attacks aimed at civilian objects and civilians in Kyiv.
Taking into account this information, the Kyiv Defense Council
decided:
-urgently work on the issue of holding further events in Kyiv, where many people should be involved;
-review the operation of public transport, sports, cultural, educational, medical, and entertainment events, as well as in crowded places to ensure the safety of citizens;
- all law enforcement and military structures of the city of Kyiv, in accordance with their powers, to increase attention to places where people gather;
-ensure constant access of the population to shelters and readiness of invulnerability points for use.
