In Kyiv, police detained a foreigner with four kilograms of cocaine

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a foreign citizen who was transporting a large shipment of cocaine for further sale, the capital's police reported.

The arrest took place on one of the streets of the capital. Police officers stopped a 37-year-old man for a check, during which they found that he was using a rented minibus. It was in this vehicle that the perpetrator transported narcotics.

During a warrantless search, law enforcement officers discovered nearly four kilograms of cocaine. The drugs were carefully hidden in boxes of household goods, which was supposed to make them difficult to detect during transportation.

In addition to the narcotics, police seized a mobile phone that could have been used to coordinate illegal activities, as well as a minibus used by the detainee.

According to law enforcement agencies, the total value of the seized cocaine at illegal market prices is about 35 million hryvnias. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, identifying possible accomplices of the detainee and drug supply channels.
