The number of court cases of self -paternity increased sharply after the start of a full -scale war

In Ukraine, the number of court cases has increased rapidly in which men are trying to formally establish the fact of self -education of minor children. Since the beginning of the full -scale war, such cases have become 67 times more.

This is evidenced by the data of "Openatable", to which the edition "Glavkom" refers.

If, from January to May 2022, the courts were considered only six such cases, then in the same period of 2025 there were more than 400 of them. In 2022, there were only 37 cases in total, and in 2023-in 180. Last year, the number of such claims reached 625.

In total, at least 1255 cases of establishing the fact of independent education by parents have been found in the State Judicial Register since the beginning of a full -scale invasion.

Lawyers pay attention: such a status can be the basis for traveling a man abroad, which is now allowed only with some exceptions. This partly explains the spike in the court.

Currently, the courts continue to consider such cases massively, which indicates a significant increase in the interest of Ukrainian men in acquiring this status.
