Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko visited defenders on the front line in the area of operation of the joint forces in Donbas and handed them important modern equipment - drones and electronic warfare systems (EW).
Klitschko announced this on his official account on the Facebook social network.
"I visited our defenders in Donbas. The Svoboda Battalion and the 28th OMBR named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign handed over 100 FPV drones to each unit. He also took three EW systems to the soldiers, which are very much needed by the military today in the east of Ukraine ," the mayor wrote in his post.
According to Klitschko, it is important to support the Ukrainian military and provide them with modern and effective equipment that will help them conduct operations and protect the national territory .
The mayor also expressed gratitude to the defenders for their courage and dedication in the fight against the occupation forces.
"The situation at the front , but they hold firm and continue to destroy the enemy and defend the Ukrainian land. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to its defenders!" Klitschko wrote .
Petro Kuzyk, commander of the "Freedom" battalion, also expressed his gratitude to Vitaliy Klitschko and the people of Kyiv for their constant support.
"From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Vitaliy Volodymyrovych and the Kyiv community for their constant strong support. On the one hand, this is the combat capability of the battalion, and what is important for me is the life of our soldiers," Kuzyk emphasized.
