The Kyiv Military Administration (KMVA) initiated a large -scale inspection of all passes issued to the townspeople during the curfew. It is planned to check from 7800 to 9000 such documents. The process will last about a month, and the passes issued with violations or persons who have not been given the need to move the city will be canceled and removed.
The spokesman of the KMVA Yevgeny Yivlev told about this "great inspection". According to him, the initiative arose after a case was found on social networks when the pass for movement in Kiev was included in a person who had no reason. As it became known, the pass was issued on the line of the Kyiv City State Administration (KSCA) one of the deputies of the mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. This case became public and caused outrage among the public, which caused the start of checking all the passes issued.
According to Yivlev, 7800 to 9000 passes were issued in Kiev in total, and there are reasons to believe that some of them could be issued with or without proper grounds. Therefore, the military administration of the capital decided to carry out a check that will include several stages:
- Verification of all passes by numbers and registration data.
- Development and improvement of the verification algorithm to provide a more digital approach in the issuance of passes.
Yivlev emphasized that the introduction of digital technologies in this process will reduce corruption and provide greater transparency in the issuance of documents.
