Kolishny Deputy Director of the Polissya Forest Office of SE “Forest of Ukraine” Vitaliy Sukhovich was found guilty of illegal enrichment. He declared UAH 116 million, could not explain the origin of the funds and tried to legalize them. The court decided to confiscate UAH 98 million in favor of the state.

Former official Vitaliy Sukhovich tried to legalize UAH 116 million due to fictitious financial obligations.
When filing a declaration, he indicated that he allegedly received $ 1.5 million and EUR 1.4 million from entrepreneur Igor Mashtaler. As a confirmation, the official referred to a contract signed on March 31, 2023.
However, the National Anti -Corruption Agency (NAPC) found out that:
- No documentary confirmation of this Agreement has been provided.
- The Borrower Mashtaler was also unable to provide evidence of the contract.
- The NAPC concluded that Sukhovich tried to hide the real origin of money and avoid criminal liability.
The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court of Ukraine (VAKS) considered the case and approved the Agreement on Failure to Failure at the end of May 2024.
- Punishment: 5 years in prison, which was replaced by 3 years of probation.
- Confiscation: 98 million UAH of illegal wealth.
- Additional sanctions: a ban on holding public office during the year.
In addition to financial fraud, NAPC found other violations in Sukhovich's declaration:
- He did not indicate the presence of a foreign passport, explaining that the document had been seized by law enforcement.
- He hid membership in the Party "Power and Honor" and in the regional organization of foresters.
- He dropped the value of real estate and did not declare his son.
According to these facts, the official also made materials under Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code (declaration of false information).
We will remind, by February 2023 he held the position of head of the Rivne Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting. Then he took one of the leadership positions in the Polissya forest office of the forestry "Forests of Ukraine".
In the framework of open criminal proceedings, searches were conducted, including in his home and the workplace of the deputy and his family members. In investigative actions, more than $ 4 million in different currency was found and seized in cash.
Law enforcement officers also found three elite cars "Audi Q8", "Mercedes-Benz Gle 350E", "BMW X5", jewelry and expensive watches, including the elite brand of Ratek Philippe. Gold coins, ingots of gold, 2 pistols, Kalashnikov machine with 16 shops with cartridges were found.
In addition, the deputy owned four land plots in Rivne, where he was building cottages. The plots are registered for nominal persons under the control of the "elect".
