The former head of the BEB of the Lviv region could flee to the army to avoid justice

The former head of the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) in the Lviv Region, Vitaliy Dragunov, according to law enforcement officials, may have fled to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to avoid investigation and justice. In June of this year, Dragunov publicly announced his mobilization, but now the question arises as to the true motives of this step.

"Friends, I gave a part of my heart and almost two years of my life to the work at BEB, but I feel that now I am needed in the Armed Forces. Therefore, I want to inform you that I am mobilizing to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to fully devote myself to the defense of Ukraine. It is an honor for me," said Dragunov.

It would seem that such a rush of patriotism should be appreciated. After all, nowadays it is rare for a high-ranking security officer or official to voluntarily agree to go to war.

As our sources in the law enforcement agencies informed us, Dragunov had a good reason to leave the service and join the ranks of the Armed Forces. According to our data, this year Dragunov got into the development of security forces. He is suspected of illegally enriching and defrauding businessmen in the Lviv region.

Dragunov and his accomplice, deputy head of the SBU department Andriy Piddubny, came up with the idea of pressuring businessmen with the help of the legal NBU regulator. By blackmail and persuasion, they forced the deputy heads and heads of departments of the NBU to influence financial companies with currency exchange licenses throughout Ukraine.

During his "service" and stint, Dragunov amassed a fortune, which he distributed among his relatives.

Mother-in-law - Svitlana Oleksiivna Demydova (October 7, 1967) owns a 21.5-square-meter apartment in Kyiv.

Law enforcement sources told our Telegram channel that Dragunov's decision to flee to the army was due to the fear of a criminal case and possible arrest. And in the conditions of martial law, service in the army (even fictitious) can guarantee an ex-security guard the opportunity to avoid criminal liability. Dragunov himself does not take part in any combat operations, occasionally appearing on duty.
