Kolomoisky accused OP of raiding Ukrnafta

Businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi stated that the Office of the President of Ukraine used the military to seize control over the companies "Ukrnafta" and "Ukrtatnafta". He told about this in an interview with UNIAN .

Key theses of Kolomoiskyi's statement

  1. Raiding under the cover of the military :
Kolomoisky claims that the deprivation of shareholders of their shares in "Ukrnafta" was carried out under the guise of military operations, but was aimed at enriching individuals.
  2. OP's offer :
In the summer of 2022, Rostyslav Shurma, the then deputy head of OP, offered him to "voluntarily" give up his shares in exchange for settlement agreements in the PrivatBank cases.
  3. Deprivation of citizenship :
Kolomoisky claims that President Volodymyr Zelensky deprived him of his citizenship after refusing to transfer shares in Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta.
  4. Pressure and restrictions :
The businessman said the detention was part of a campaign to limit his ability to appeal the seizure of assets.

In September 2023, the SBU and BEB conducted searches as part of investigations into Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta. Kolomoisky was charged with fraud and money laundering. The businessman is in custody, and the amount of bail for his release initially exceeded 1.8 billion hryvnias, although it was later reduced.
