In Ukraine, an important date is approaching for those who evade mobilization duties. Under the new regulations, failure to comply with requirements to update military records can result in significant fines. In a comment, lawyer Roman Simutin talked about when to expect the first fines for evaders and what amounts they can amount to.
"At the end of August, sometime after the 20th. If summonses have already been sent to someone after July 16, the first resolutions can be expected at the end of August," says Roman Simutin. According to him, those conscripts who have updated their data, but do not have a postponement or a reservation, will probably be the first to receive summonses to the VLK in August.
"Not everyone will receive a summons. More than 4,600,000 conscripts have updated their data. Half may have deferments, disability, three children. A certain number of reservations are available. About 1.5 million remain, which allegedly have no basis. It is possible that those who do not have a postponement and a reservation will receive summons," says Roman Simutin.
According to Simutin, if the citizen has not updated the data, and there is no data on the conscript in the "Oberig" register, then the employees of the TCC will raise a paper file and issue a summons manually. "But such a person can also be found at a roadblock," the lawyer clarifies.
