In Khmelnytskyi, a former customs officer will stand before the court, which is accused of trying to illegally cross men through the State Border of Ukraine. About it reports the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, the 47-year-old former chief inspector of the Khmelnytsky Customs offered his acquaintance "scheme" of departure to Romania. One option was to transport men to the border, where they had to cross it bypassing the checkpoints. The other is in the forgery of documents, in particular the fictitious entry in the registers on the presence of three children abroad or receiving a fake license for international transportation.
The price of the question is from 7 to $ 15 thousand. This is how many officials asked for "clients" for his services.
The operatives detained the customs officer in March this year during the transfer of $ 5,000. He now faces up to nine years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and prohibition of occupying positions related to the civil service for three years.
This case again confirms that illegal attempts to organize departure for conscripts remain one of the most profitable areas of shadow "business" during the war.
