NABU announces the disclosure of a corruption scheme at "Ukrzaliznytsia" involving the purchase of transformers at inflated prices by almost 100 million hryvnias.
According to the media, the scheme was organized by former adviser to the President's Office, SBU official Artem Shilo. He was detained.
The investigation reports that in June - December 2022, the organizer, through the controlled officials of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, ensured the victory of the "required" company in the tender. For this purpose, he sent a letter "About threats to state security" to the UZ, which became the basis for rejecting the offers of other procurement participants with significantly more favorable prices.
At the same time, the winning company is controlled by a citizen of Belarus, who, according to NABU, has ties to the Russian Federation. He bought transformers in Uzbekistan and resold UZ at inflated prices almost twice.
The losses of the state-owned company amounted to UAH 94.7 million
UAH 53 million was seized on the accounts of the supplier company. The leader, co-organizer and two members of the organized group were detained.
