The former deputy head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, became the new adviser to Defense Minister Umerov
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense. Tymoshenko will officially hold the position of full-time adviser to the Minister of Defense from March 1, 2024.
"Kyril Tymoshenko's main area of activity is media and communications, coordination of information policy in the Ministry of Defense and structures subordinate to the Ministry of Defense, as well as building a unified information agenda in the Defense Forces of Ukraine during martial law," the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
In July, NAZK notified Tymoshenko of four suspicions of corruption at once. NAZK established that Tymoshenko "used his powers in personal interests and twice violated the limitations set by the Law on receiving gifts." Thus, the ex-deputy head of the President's Office signed documents for departure abroad for his subordinate so that he would issue visas for Tymoshenko and his son.
Also, the official lived three times free of charge in the Emili Resort hotel complex in Lviv, twice with his wife and son. In addition, in the summer of 2022, Tymoshenko received free Porsche Taycan rental services in the amount of UAH 122,000.
