Former MP Golovka is suspected of bribery and non -policy of property

The National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) reported suspicion of the former People's Deputy of Ukraine Mikhail Golovka in the non -polishing of property for a total amount of more than UAH 2 million. The politician is suspected of concealing information about the apartment, funds in accounts and non -residential premises.

It is known that Mikhail Golovko was the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 7th and 8th convocations, exchanges of the Ternopil Regional Council and the current deputy of the Ternopil Regional Council. In addition, he is also accused of demanding a bribe by the owner of a private enterprise in the amount of UAH 600 thousand. Although the name of the politician is not officially revealed, his description coincides with Michael Golovko.

According to the SAP, at the time of submission of declarations for 2022-2023, Golovko did not specify in the documents several important objects: apartment with an area of 201.9 square meters. m, which belonged to his mother, but was used by him and his family. Also, the declaration did not specify funds in the bank account and non -residential premises, including a parking space, a car wash and a hole belonging to his family members.

This case is part of a broader investigation, which began in June 2023, when the head and his two deputies, Igor Demyanchuk and Igor Gaiduk, were detained on suspicion of bribery. Investigators claim that politicians demanded almost UAH 1.8 million from the enterprise owner for signing acts of completed works on repair and construction of objects of the Ternopil Regional Council.

After detention, the court chose a pre -trial detention measure for the head with the possibility of making a pledge of UAH 805.2 thousand, but the next day the politician was released after the bail was made.

In October of the same year, deputies of the Ternopil Regional Council voted for his dismissal, but in August 2024 the eighth Appeal Court of Appeal of Lviv satisfied the head of the Golovka and renewed him in office, obliging to pay him UAH 591 thousand of salaries during forced absenteeism.
