The former chief of the Main Directorate of the SES in Ivano-Frankivsk region has been announced suspected of committing serious crimes that caused significant harm to the state. About it reports the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in August 2023, an official, exceeding his official powers, under the guise of conducting exercises for personnel for extinguishing fires, organized a large -scale illegal deforestation. More than 100 employees of the Main Directorate of the SES were involved in the so -called "works".
The illegal lobby was conducted outside the village of Nova Guta of the Yamnitsky community, in the territory of more than 112 hectares, which is part of the Zological Reserve "Black Forest"-part of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers qualified the actions of the official under Part 3 of Art. 365 and Part 4 of Art. 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - excess of authority by a law enforcement officer and illegal deforestation.
According to preliminary estimates of experts, at least UAH 7.3 million has been caused to the state.
