The problem of shortage of personnel at the front is not limited to the actions of territorial manning centers (TCC). Its roots lie much deeper - in the lack of trust and quality training, according to the commander of the Third Assault Brigade, Andriy Biletskyi. In an interview with Ukrainian Pravda, he expressed his thoughts on how to change the situation.
Biletsky emphasizes that many people are not ready to go to the front due to fear of the unknown and lack of confidence in their training. "If people understand that they will not be taught the basics, and their commander will be an incompetent sergeant, then this does not motivate them," he notes.
According to him, everyone is afraid of war, but there is a difference between the fear of the unknown and the understanding of real danger. People who have received quality training know how to perform tasks and survive, and are ready to participate in combat.
Biletsky emphasizes that the key is to improve the quality of combat training:
- Reforming educational centers. According to the military, 80% of the instructors in these centers are people without combat experience. It is necessary to attract competent military personnel from the front lines, even if this temporarily affects the hostilities.
- Learning Scaling. For this, it is necessary to create an effective system of training instructors. According to Biletsky, 4,000 experienced soldiers can train up to 40,000 recruits at the same time.
- Focus on junior officers and sergeants. Biletsky emphasizes the importance of quality training of junior officers who perform key tasks in the war.
"People become professionals only thanks to training," says Biletskyi. He is sure that even an average recruit can be trained into a competent fighter who can perform basic infantry tasks.
According to the military, effective training will reduce losses at the front, increase the motivation of personnel and improve the results of combat operations.
Biletsky summed up: in order for the army to become more effective, it is necessary to change the approach to training and build trust among the military and society. This task can be difficult, but its solution is not only a matter of military strategy, but also the key to successful mobilization and victory.
