Eco-Optima, which belongs to the family of the head of the Lviv OVA Maxim Kozitsky, announced plans for the implementation of a large-scale energy industry-by the end of 2026 in the territory of the Belz community should reduce a wind park with a capacity of 100 megawatts.
The project involves the installation of up to 18 wind turbines between the villages of Glukhiv and Silets. For this purpose, a land plot of 12.5 hectares has already been leased. The implementation will completely lie on the shoulders of Eco-Optima, which, as stated on the official website of the Sheptytsky district state administration, has already started preparatory work.
The new station is expected to provide up to 10% of the region's annual energy consumption, which is equivalent to approximately 4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.
Maxim Kozytsky stressed that the choice of this location was dictated by the results of many years of research. For five years, wind speeds have been measured in the region, in particular because of its proximity to the Polish windmill, which works near the border. According to Kozitsky, "the wind is very good."
The project financing is estimated at EUR 110 million. The company is already negotiating with potential creditors, in particular with the State Savings Bank, which previously financed the construction of a Falcon Fining for 40 MW. Its launch is expected by the end of this year.
Eco-Optim also considers the possibility of attracting Ukrainian manufacturers to turbines. The main options are the equipment of the German company Nordex.
The company is considered one of the first in the field of green energy in Ukraine. In 2012, it was the first to attract the EBRD loan to the development of wind power. Today, its portfolio contains a number of solar power plants (127 MW in general) and the Orem Vovt near Truskavets with a 90 MW.
In 2027, Eco-Optim plans to launch another windmill-this time in the territory of the Turkiv community, where the capacity will be 65 MW.
