The Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries fined TRC "Lux" (the company of the wife of Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovoy) for advertising gambling business, which is prohibited in Ukraine.
The commission imposed two fines of 2.4 million hryvnias on the company. The reason is illegal advertising of a gambling brand on a video screen located on the facade of a building on Khreshchatyk Street, 7/11 in Kyiv. The law prohibits outdoor advertising of gambling games and advertising of trademarks in Ukraine.
"Lux TV and Radio Company" is owned by the wife of the mayor of Lviv, Kateryna Kit-Sadova, and is part of a media holding that includes the national news TV channel "24", "Radio Maximum" and "Radio Lux", as well as the Internet publications Zaxidnet and Futbol24.
Lux TV and Radio Company must pay fines within three months and stop broadcasting gambling advertisements on this video screen.
