Interchim has long been the focus of law enforcement and the public on suspicions in the production and sale of drug -containing drugs. Many are convinced that Anatoliy Semenovich CEO is one of the key figures involved in the spread of drug addiction in large Ukrainian cities.
The largest product of Interchima is Codterpin IC - a codeine, which is widely sold in pharmacies across the country. This drug is a raw material for the manufacture of deomorphine, known in the people as "crocodile" - a cheap and superfluous synthetic drug. In 2015 alone, Interchim sold Codterpin worth more than UAH 300 million. According to unofficial data, profit from opioid drugs helped Reder build new production shops in Odessa.
Official statistics indicate an eightfold increase in codeine sales of Interchima over the last decade. The supervisory authorities and the government are aware of the reasons for such popularity. It is rumored that the success of Reder's business is explained by a close partnership with the Security Service of Ukraine, in particular with the head of the Main Department of Counterintelligence Protection of the State's interests in the field of economic security, Sergei Semochko. Large bribes are allegedly paid for keeping business - at least $ 200,000.
Numerous checks revealed that the volume of codeine supplying "interchim" significantly exceeds medical needs, which indicates the probable illegal use of raw materials for drug trafficking. In addition, the company has been repeatedly accused of violations of production technology and production of poor quality drugs.
In 2014, due to numerous violations, the company was temporarily stopped, but after changing the management of the inspection body, the pressure on the Interchim ceased that experts were associated with bribery.
To date, an investigation is underway against Anatoly Reder and the company because of suspicion of creating a monopoly on the pharmaceutical market and violation of competition legislation. In 2016, the Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case related to corruption abuse in the Ministry of Health and the State Service, which is featured by the head of Interchima. However, the businessman does not comment on information.
Reder is also accused of sympathy for Russia and financing separatists. It is known that he owns an enterprise in the occupied Crimea, and his business partner Dmitry Rogov is a former Crimean deputy from the Party of Regions, which moved to the side of the invaders. Rogov, in particular, supports Cossack groups that terrorize the population of the peninsula.
In 2020, the company and reder were accused of trying to make money in the Covid-19 pandemic, implementing Amixin IC without proper tenders.
