The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (Bab) exposed a large -scale scheme of illegal import of electronic cigarettes from Poland. The key involved in the case was the Uzhgorod company LLC "Tisa-Energy Group", owned by Ivan Chepesh-the current assistant to the People's Deputy from the "servant of the people" Anatoly Kostyukh.
According to the investigation, this firm was the recipient of large batches of products - 149.8 thousand units of electronic cigarettes of New Air and 74.9 thousand Vaal 800E. The product was imported for more than $ 200,000 without proper customs clearance.
The court had already arrested the entire load, and the attempts to remove were unsuccessful - the decree was left unchanged.
Of particular interest in the case is the connection between Chaypesh and People's Deputy Costuh. Earlier, the parliamentarian used a car rented at Tisa-Energy Group LLC. Subsequently, he declared the acquisition of a luxurious Cupra Formentor crossover, worth more than UAH 2 million - three times more than his annual income.
However, no other sources of income in the declaration of Kostyukh are indicated.
Chapesh himself is an exputate of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, now - a businessman and assistant of the current people's deputy. The investigation is currently examining whether the firm has nonsense for the organization of systemic smuggling on the border.
The investigation is ongoing. Baby does not exclude that other firms or officials could be involved in the scheme. In focus - volumes, regularity of supplies and possible "roofing" of smuggling. The case remains within the investigation, but it already has a clear political implication.
Whether these materials will be the basis for parliamentary requests or inspections by the NAPC - will show the near time.
