Famous Ukrainian producer Igor Kondratyuk made a surprising statement about the military service of singer Vitaliy Kozlovsky, who mobilized into the National Guard in June 2023. According to the producer, the artist is no longer in service.
Kondratyuk spoke about this in an interview for Yanina Sokolova's "Randevu" program.
Kozlovsky is no longer serving?
According to Kondratyuk, he maintained contact with the military, in particular, with the commander of the 3rd Svoboda Battalion, Petro Kuzyk, where Kozlovsky had previously served. The producer claims that the commander was allegedly unhappy that the singer had joined his unit.
“He hasn’t served for quite some time. You should ask him why. I called his commander, and he told me that he was humiliated by the fact that Kozlovsky was assigned to his brigade,” Kondratyuk said.
As is known, the artist initially served in the Rubizh brigade of the Offensive Guard, but was later transferred to Kyiv.
Litigation and Kozlovsky's debt
In addition to military service, Kondratyuk and Kozlovsky have a conflict over debt. The court ordered the singer to pay the producer money after the contract was terminated.
Kozlovsky previously stated that 20% of his military salary was withheld to repay the debt. The artist asked Kondratyuk to take a break for the duration of his service, but the producer insisted on complying with the court decision.
“He paid when he was serving, because it was an official process through the accounting department. Now this process is on pause, because he is no longer serving. We do not communicate, everything is decided through lawyers,” the producer noted.
Kozlovsky himself has not yet commented on Kondratyuk's statement.
