Roshen confectionery empire is ahead of industrial giants

In 2023, the ten leading companies in the Ukrainian processing industry showed impressive growth in revenues, which increased by 23% compared to the previous year. The total income of these companies amounted to UAH 317.53 billion, according to data from the Opendatabot Index.

The main part of the income among the leaders of the processing industry was provided by the companies of Rinat Akhmetov's SCM group. Despite significant amounts of income, four of these companies reported losses at the end of the year. "Roshen" received the largest net profit among the top companies.

The top 10 leaders of the processing industry are headed by Zaporizhstal, which increased its revenue by 20%, reaching UAH 56.4 billion. However, the company has experienced significant losses for the second year in a row, amounting to UAH 4 billion.

The second place in the rating is occupied by another company from the SCM group - "Kamet Stal", with an income of UAH 43.07 billion, which is 14% more than the previous year. Despite this, "Kamet Stal" suffered 1.4 times more losses, reaching UAH 950 million.

The third place in the rating was taken by Arcelormittal, the famous former Kryvorizhstal, with an income of UAH 41.84 billion, which is 5% less than in the previous year. However, the company managed to significantly reduce its losses, which now amount to UAH 12 billion.

The largest increase in net profit was demonstrated by Coca-Cola, which increased its profit 37 times, reaching UAH 1.64 billion.

Oleksiy Poroshenko's company "Roshen" also achieved positive results, increasing its profit to UAH 5.64 billion, which is the largest profit among the top 10.

Two enterprises from the Yuriy Kosyuk MHP group made it to the top ten companies, with a total revenue of UAH 61.57 billion, which is 19% of the revenue of the entire rating. Including:

  • Vinnytsia Poultry Farm , where revenue increased by 30%, reaching UAH 39.25 billion, but net profit decreased by 11%, to UAH 1.05 billion.
  • Katerynopil elevator with an income of UAH 22.32 billion, but with losses of UAH 156 million.

"Ukrainian armored vehicles" showed the greatest increase in income, which increased 2.5 times to UAH 32.42 billion, and net profit increased four times to UAH 708 million.

The company "Interpipe Nico Tube" from Viktor Pinchuk's EastOne group also achieved a significant increase in revenue by 25%, to UAH 20.5 billion, with a doubling of net profit to UAH 4.95 billion.

Such companies as:

  • "Dniprostal" with an income of UAH 11.9 billion (+10% for the year).
  • "Delta Wilmar Ukraine" with a revenue of UAH 11.06 billion (-6%).
  • Nikopol ferroalloy plant with an income of UAH 9.5 billion (-6%).
