Vadym Alperin, known as the “smuggling king” of Odessa, has decided to challenge not only the law but also politics. Despite his reputation as a “personal enemy of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau” (NABU) and the announcement of his wanted list by President Zelensky, Alperin has decided to start a political struggle.
Today he is one of the main players in the Odessa port in the work of the “grain corridor”.
The last couple of months have been close to Alperin and he himself has been seen in a number of political negotiations. Our sources in the Odessa City Council say that Alperin is trying to get into the case of the local “Servants”. The situation is simplified by the fact that the head of the Odessa faction, Vadym Morokhovsky, is a classmate and partner of Alperin in a number of projects. Among other things, a certain Zhanna (the smuggler’s right hand) is actively negotiating with public figures and activists in Odessa. In Odessa, everyone is simply confused and has started thinking about the elections.
There is active talk that Alperin's group was able to reach an agreement with Odessa public figure and activist Demyan Hanul.
They say it's about financing Ganul's political future and using him as a tool in political struggle and pressure on competitors.
