It turned out that "Maznya" by the young artist Sofia Morozyuk is not about art, but about the legalization of funds stolen from the procurement of the Ministry of Defense by the family of Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevich.

We remind you that Ihor Hrynkevich, one of the main suppliers of the Ministry of Defense, along with his son Roman and his wife, won as many as 23 tenders for the supply of uniforms and underwear for the Ukrainian army for a total amount of over UAH 1.5 billion. At the current exchange rate, this is almost 40 million US dollars.
The Hrynkevich family received the funds from the Ministry of Defense in full, but they did not fulfill their obligations to the military. A few months ago, the SBI initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of irregularities in the procurement of clothing and underwear for the Armed Forces, which led to budget losses of UAH 1.2 billion and disruption of supplies.
About a week ago, Ihor Hrynkevich was detained during an attempt to bribe one of the heads of the DBR for assistance in the return of property seized from companies controlled by him during the investigation of criminal proceedings. Hrynkevich offered a bribe of USD 500,000 to one of the heads of the SBI.
After the senior Hrynkevich was detained by the SBI detectives, a scandal broke out in social networks related to his daughter-in-law: the artist Sofia Morozyuk. In particular, journalist Yevhen Plinskyi was the first to draw attention to the fact that the funds stolen by the Hrynkeviches from military contracts are invested in the development of the "ambiguous" art of the young Kharkiv artist Morozyuk.
At the same time, financiers see in the million-dollar investment in the so-called "creativity" of Roman Hrynkevich's bride, not romantic motives, but rather financial ones. After all, the sale of "abstract" works of art, like Sofia Morozyuk's "oils" is a common method of legalizing funds obtained through criminal means. In the case of the Hrynkevichs, they were stolen on the contracts of the Ministry of Defense. We remind you that we are talking about an amount in the region of 40 million US dollars.
Taking into account the facts published by the SBI regarding the plot of the criminal proceedings in the case of the Hrynkevichs, in particular, that none of the companies that participated in the tenders had ever been engaged in tailoring clothes before, it is likely that the Hrynkevichs did not intend to supply clothes for the Ministry of Defense from the very beginning, but simply to appropriate the funds. Of course, there should also have been an understanding that after such a "throw" they would have to leave Ukraine. According to sources close to the Hrynkevich family, they were going to leave for Europe.
It is worth noting that Europeans are rather scrupulous about the sources from which capital was obtained, especially millions. The Grynkeviches planned to pass compliance and legalize the funds stolen from the Ministry of Defense through Sofia's "smudge".
Morozyuk herself does not comment on the situation, moreover, she closed access to her Instagram account. Was Sofia aware of the situation, we think so. After all, in her interviews, she confirms that her career and prosperity took off after the full-scale invasion (after the Hrynkeviches signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense). Also, according to her, she paints a picture a day, and realizing the value of such abstractions, she called her first personal exhibition "Maznia".
After public outcry, the "Maznia" exhibition has already been closed . So now it is the turn of the law enforcement agencies to provide a legal qualification for the actions of Sofia Morozyuk.
