The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have launched an investigation into the possible possession of state funds in the Izmail sea trade port. Suspicions arose in connection with the public procurement of large warehouse equipment and other equipment, which will not contribute much to the modernization of the port, which is subordinated to the Minister.
According to the investigation, during the years 2022-2024, the winners of the company's tenders were companies related to each other, such as: "KranTechElectro" LLC, "Port and Fleet" LLC and "ExportTradeGroup" LLC. The investigation notes that these companies are controlled by one person, and the companies themselves send financial and accounting reports from the same IP addresses and transfer funds to joint counterparties.
One of the possible persons connected with the case is Volodymyr Sinkevich, the former deputy head of the State Enterprise "Delta-Lotsman" AMPU. After his dismissal from the state-owned enterprise, which actually stopped holding tenders based on his profile, he got a job at the large forwarding company "Asket Shipping".
This company actively worked in the Izmail seaport. Using his connections with the then management of the port, he became a communicator between the port and the contractors with whom he worked in "close cooperation", while still being the deputy chairman of the SE "Delta-Lotsman", which the investigation may have also paid attention to.
