The Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published official information regarding the service of singer Vitaliy Kozlovsky. According to the order of the Chief of the General Staff dated May 23, 2024, the artist was appointed a reserve soldier of the 3rd reserve platoon of the 90th reserve company of military unit A4718. He arrived in the unit from the National Presidential Orchestra, and began performing duties on June 17, 2024.
His task was to conduct training sessions to prepare for possible mobilization in the event of an escalation of the situation.
According to the Land Forces, Kozlovsky also gave concerts in military units to support the moral and psychological state of the personnel. At the same time, the unit clarified that he did not participate in combat or defensive operations. On June 28, 2024, the singer was dismissed from service by order of the commander due to family circumstances - caring for a wife or husband with a disability of group I or II. According to the document, Kozlovsky resigned and terminated military service.
Earlier, in an interview with journalist Marichka Padalko, Kozlovsky stated that he was engaged in patronage service with his comrades. However, the Ground Forces denied this information, noting that the artist was not officially sent to such service. In response, Kozlovsky's team reported that he is indeed involved in patronage activities, but not as a serviceman, but as a representative of the charitable foundation "Patronage Service "Ray of Help"" of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Brigade.
