The country loses billions due to the poor management of Ukrnaftoburinnia

The latest news indicates that the state's losses in the form of uncollected taxes due to the incompetent actions of the manager of the Ukrnaftoburinnia company have reached UAH 1.8 billion and continue to grow. At the same time, the management of a private company seized by raiders boasts of recalculating UAH 831.2 million in dividends to which it has no legal right.

Mykhailo Bakunenko, who was removed from the duties of the head of Ukrnaftoburinnia a year ago, published a critical post on Facebook regarding the management's actions. He said that UNB paid this significant sum to Ukrnafta without legal grounds, because the company's corporate rights do not belong to the state or to legal entities related to it.

Bakunenko also noted that these actions are recorded in the "Minutes No. 3 of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders" dated June 25, 2024, which has nothing to do with real shareholders and their interests.

In addition, Bakunenko drew attention to the incompetence of management, which led to the loss of the license for the Sakhalin field. As a result, the state does not receive about UAH 380 million in taxes every month. In seven months, this amounts to UAH 2.66 billion, which, together with the dividends paid, creates a negative balance of UAH 1.8 billion.

The company's management ignores these losses and continues opaque financial practices. Bakunenko emphasizes that lost revenues and a decrease in gas production have a negative impact on the country's economy.
