The Rector of Lutsk National Technical University Irina Vakhovich declared serious expenses during the full -scale war. Its electronic declaration recorded the purchase of equipment for a solar power plant for more than half a million hryvnias, as well as the purchase of an Audi Q5 car worth 2 million hryvnias.

In particular, in 2022, Vakhovich acquired the solar panels of Longi Solar LR5-72HPHP-540M and a network inverter SOLIS-30K-5G-DC. The total cost of the equipment is 530 796 UAH. And next year - the crossover of the Audi Q5 2022 for UAH 2 million.
Last year, its income from renewable energy sources amounted to UAH 220,000. The main source of profit is the salary at the university - 860 thousand hryvnias per year. The Rector also declared $ 15,000 in cash. Vakhovich lives in a private house of 162 square meters in the village near Lutsk.
Against the backdrop of the Rector's personal expenses, the university was in the spotlight due to the resonant deduction of more than 1000 male students. This happened in September 2024, after changes in the legislation on mobilization. Students over 25 years of age who are not for the first time are no longer given a deferral, so they were excluded from the university.
In a comment by Insider Media Vakhovich explained: "We received everyone, but the new version of the law did not allow students who are not eligible for deferral at the university." According to her, it was a forced action, not the internal decision of the administration of the university.
However, against the background of such large -scale deductions, the public demonstration of the Rector of Million Costs looks ambiguous and is already outrage in the student environment.
