War correspondent Yuri Butusov expresses indignation and concern about the lack of a solution to the rotation issue, indicating that such a situation could soon get out of control. At the same time, it remains unclear which general is responsible for issuing the relevant order, which complicates the distribution of forces and resources for effective resistance on the front line.
For a long time, marching reinforcements and fresh battalions have not been sent to Avdiivka. The infantry is being worn out, people are simply getting sick, being written off due to health, wounded, shell-shocked, killed. The Russians suffer many times more losses, but they constantly replenish their assault battalions, our reinforcements are many times smaller, and it has been a long time since they were at all.
Avdiivka is now the main direction of the Russian army's offensive in Ukraine. The enemy is throwing reserves here, wanting to push us through. And we could use this to crush all the Russian reserves here and defend the city and convenient positions. But..
You ask people from Zaluzhny and Tarnavskyi - they say we don't have people, because the distribution is handled by the commander of the ground forces, Syrsky, and the CCK and TRO systems subordinate to him.
You ask Syrsky's entourage - Zaluzhny has units subordinate to him, Tarnavsky too, let them maneuver and reinforce.
You ask, who can figure it out and make a decision to strengthen the defense of the large Ukrainian city of Avdiivka with people? The Minister of Defense - no, they say he cannot interfere in such a thing. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief and his Headquarters? No, he cannot either, it is the military, let them figure it out.
My question is - how to draw the attention of the top leadership to Avdiivka so that they give marching reinforcements to the 110th and at least a couple of fresh battalions?
Who is responsible for this? Should we ask the mayors again and hold rallies near city halls?
It's not about sending all the forces to Avdiivka, to change the strategic plans of the military command. It's about replenishing the current losses from two and a half months of assaults. To bring in a couple of fresh battalions and give at least a couple of battalions in the defense of the city a little sleep. And we have such forces.
The replenishment of the Avdiivka garrison is currently the primary responsibility of Valery Zaluzhny. Yes, it is also the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the Minister of Defense, who have taken political responsibility for the country's defense. But if there is no replenishment of people and the reserves do not arrive, and the situation moves from tense-controlled to tense-uncontrolled, then the questions will be not only about the political leadership, but also why the commander-in-chief did not make the critically necessary decisions.
