Five years ago, Kyiv City Council deputy Kateryna Hlymbovska promised to transform the Svyatoshynskyi district into a "beautiful and comfortable place to live." Today, little has changed for the better in the capital, but in the declarations of some elected officials, one can see completely different "transformations" - personal fortunes.

Kateryna Hlymbovska, a member of the Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations, declared income of over 5.5 million hryvnias for 2024 from entrepreneurial activity alone. She also has bank accounts, cash in several currencies, jewelry from De Beers and Cartier, fur coats, Hermes bags, and Rolex watches.
However, the most interesting are the amounts of deposits: almost 9 million hryvnias in the Solomyanskyi District Court and more than 22 million in accounts with the State Treasury. All this is against the background of the fact that the deputy's husband, Roman Nasirov, is under investigation.
A considerable list of real estate — apartments, houses, land — is located in Kyiv and the elite Kozyn. The fleet includes a Harley-Davidson and a rented Mercedes-Benz S500.

Another deputy of the same commission — Kateryna Kyrychenko from "UDAR" — is also not far behind. She received almost 2.7 million hryvnias in salary from JSC "Bank 3/4" alone. She has millions in hryvnias, euros, and dollars in accounts and cash. With cars, everything is like in the best houses in Europe: Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, Mercedes S580, Audi A8, Bentley Continental.

Another famous figure is Maryna Poroshenko. Formally, she declared a rather modest annual salary to a charitable foundation - a little more than 100 thousand hryvnias. But she has more than 100 million hryvnias in cash, millions of dollars, euros and pounds. She owns a 2022 Volvo, jewelry from Dior, Chanel, Fendi, as well as real estate in Kyiv and an estate in Kozyn.
So, while residents of the capital are fighting every day for the quality of roads, clean air, and green areas, part of the deputies demonstrate a different standard of living. And it is very different from the one they promised in their election speeches.
