A soldier from the Odessa CCC demanded money for removal from the wanted list

In Odessa, law enforcement officers exposed a serviceman from the district territorial center for recruitment and social support who demanded a bribe for assistance in removing a conscript from the wanted list and declaring him unfit for service.

As the investigation established, the leading specialist of the mobilization work accounting department of one of the CCC departments demanded 25 thousand hryvnias from the man. For this money, he promised to "resolve the issue" through unidentified persons: remove the conscript from the Rozshuk registration database, as well as ensure the unhindered passage of the military medical commission with the subsequent recognition of unfitness for service.

Law enforcement officers documented the transfer of the illegal benefit in several tranches. After receiving the entire amount, the bribe-taker was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The collected evidence allowed the serviceman to be charged under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of up to eight years with confiscation of property.

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is being resolved.
