In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 43-year-old resident of Dnipro who was on the state and international wanted list. The detainee turned out to be a lawyer and the son of the leader of a well-known criminal organization.
According to the investigation, in July 2025, the man tried to organize the murder of a key witness in a criminal case against his father. He offered $100,000 for the crime, part of which — $10,000 — he had already given as an advance.
In addition, the defendant tried to bribe law enforcement officers. He is accused of offering a bribe of $1 million for assistance in solving the case. After the failed bribery attempt, the man disappeared, but he was found and detained in the capital.
The suspect has now been charged with crimes under the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to life imprisonment.
