In Kyiv, the prosecutor's office reported suspicions of the director of the Department of Municipal Security of the Kyiv City State Administration in official negligence during the purchase of special emergency and rescue vehicles and additional equipment for them. According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the official's actions are qualified under Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - improper performance of official duties, which led to grave consequences.
Law enforcement officers established that in 2022 the Department purchased six specialized vehicles and equipment for them at an inflated cost. These actions caused losses to the territorial community of the capital in the amount of almost 11 million hryvnias.
The official faces a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to five years and restriction of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
Roman Tkachuk was previously suspected of embezzling budget funds intended for the installation of warning systems in the Desnyanskyi district, as well as of violations related to a closed shelter.
