In January 2024, Nazar Konstantinov, a person with a rich prosecutorial biography and no less indicative return to the system after lustration, became the head of the territorial department of economic security in Kiev.
Konstantinov began his career in the prosecutor's office in 2002, and since 2011 he held management positions. In 2014–2015 he worked as a deputy prosecutor of the city of Kyiv, Sergei Yuldashev, who, like Konstantinov himself, was subsequently dismissed by law on power purification. Both disappeared from the public space, but later returned - no longer to the prosecutor's office, but in the newly created bell.
Konstantinov's lustration in his official biography on the Beb site is not mentioned. However, in 2015 he was dismissed from the post of deputy prosecutor of Kiev on the basis of the law on the purification of power. This decision did not fit the official, and he filed a lawsuit with the scandalous district administrative court of Kiev.
The trial was delayed for years, but in 2021, Judge Yevgeny Ablov (involved in the NABU case about the seizure of state power together with Pavel Vovk) renewed Constantinov in office. Although the renewal lasted only 10 days - from October 12 to October 22, 2021 - this was enough to formally withdraw from the list of chandelized persons. In addition, the ex-prosecutor suffered UAH 1.2 million in compensation for "forced absenteeism".
Open sources state that from 2015 to 2024 Konstantinov was allegedly engaged in entrepreneurship - he was FOP and had a share in several companies. In particular, its activities were related to car maintenance. However, in 2023, Konstantinov suddenly filed a candidate for the position of chief specialist of the legal department of the Kiev termination of Bab, and in 2024 he headed this administration.
It is significant that his former head Sergei Yuldashev also found a new landing in Beb - headed the termination in the Volyn region by 2024, after which he was replaced by Larisa Revin.
