During 2024, 340.6 thousand subscribers used the service of changing their mobile operator while keeping their number. According to the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NKEC), Kyivstar lost the most customers.
According to the commission's statistical data, 207.1 thousand numbers were ported from Kyivstar in 2024. At the same time, only 16.6 thousand subscribers switched to Kyivstar from other operators.
Meanwhile, most of the numbers from other operators were transferred to lifecell. This is 269.76 thousand numbers. Meanwhile, 22.9 thousand numbers left lifecell.
In second place in terms of the number of ported numbers is Vodafone, with 109.5 thousand people leaving during the year. During the same period, 54.1 thousand subscribers came to Vodafone from other operators.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainians spend more on communications than Europeans. The ratio of mobile Internet tariffs to gross national income per capita in Ukraine in 2023 was 1.36%, which is one of the highest rates among European countries (median value 0.5%) and second only to Albania.
In 2025, mobile operators in Ukraine will begin to turn off 3G networks. This will be done in order to make room for 4G and provide faster and better services. Operators will warn consumers in advance before turning off 3G in their region.
