Kyiv after the missile strike. Rescue operations continue

During the night of today in the Dnipro district of Kyiv due to a rocket attack by the Russians, the facades of the buildings were damaged, the seventh floor caught fire and the residents were evacuated. According to Serhii Popka, head of the KMVA, it was possible to save 15 people, including 4 children.

Currently, units of the State Emergency Service and medical teams are working on the spot. The details of the victims are being clarified. Operational information allows us to report that the fire was contained, but there are numerous victims.

As of 4:13 a.m. local time, the effects of the attack have been contained, but the situation remains tense. There are many victims, and initiatives for relief and treatment are being taken at all levels.

The direct speech of the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko testifies to serious injuries among the victims. As a result of the attack, 53 people were injured, including 6 children. 20 people, including two children, were hospitalized. A variety of injuries were reported, including cuts from glass and other injuries from the blast wave.

Damage to houses and cars was recorded in different areas of the city. In the Desnyan district, the 7th floor of a nine-story building caught fire, as well as 8 cars. 17 people were evacuated there, including 7 children. Rescue services and psychological assistance are provided on site.

In the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell on the carriageway and did not cause a fire. Other locations in the Dnipro district are also damaged by rocket fragments.

Emergency crews and medical services are already operating to provide emergency assistance and restore damaged buildings and infrastructure. Information on possible dead or additional victims is being clarified.
