The construction of the metro on Vynogradar, which has been on hold for a long time, is again in the center of attention of the city authorities. According to Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy head of the KMDA, the budget of Kyiv for 2025 provides a certain amount for the implementation of this project. However, the key source of financing will be credit funds.
Mykola Povoroznyk emphasized that stable and continuous funding is needed for the successful completion of construction. "We are working on attracting both budgetary and extra-budgetary resources. The main source will be credit funds to ensure construction to the end without delays," the official said.
According to him, there are agreements with potential investors, which will be formalized in the form of agreements immediately after the start of the active phase of works.
Although construction on Vynogradar did not progress for a long time, the city authorities assure that the project is not lost. Meanwhile, the Kyiv metro continues modernization. Recently, a third train, made up of wagons that the city received from Warsaw, entered the route.
The construction of the metro on Vynogradar is one of the capital's largest infrastructure projects. Attracting credit funds will allow to finally complete this ambitious project, which will improve transport accessibility for residents of new districts of Kyiv.
