The Kyiv prosecutor lives in an estate worth more than 18 million, the arrest of which was handled by his department

The prosecutor of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office Oleksandr Hutsuliak, responsible for environmental issues, settled down to live in the cottage town "Vitagrad", which is located in the village of Khodosivka, 7 kilometers from Kyiv. This villa, with an area of 180 square meters, worth about 18-19 million hryvnias, belongs to his parents.

According to the Bihus.Info investigation, the land plot of the cottage town was seized by judicial authorities in 2021 due to land and environmental problems. However, within a year, the arrest was canceled on the basis of a letter from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office about the lack of sufficient evidence.

After that, prosecutor Hutsuliak, six months later, moved to Vitagrad. In addition, in May 2023, he purchased a new car, a 2022 BMW X5. As noted, both the estate and the car are registered to the prosecutor's father.

During the communication with journalists, Oleksandr Hutsuliak, the prosecutor of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, claimed that his move to the cottage town "Vitagrad" had nothing to do with his official activities. He noted that the estate was not purchased, but was being built, as, according to him, his father only purchased a plot of land. According to Hutsuliak's declaration, his father bought almost 9 acres of land in the village of Khodosivka for less than 200,000 hryvnias, which is the value of one acre according to current market prices.

In addition, the prosecutor stated that the construction of the estate began in the winter of 2023, but he was already occupied in the summer of the same year. However, according to aerial photos from the LUN and Google Earth Pro services, the building began to be built in the fall of 2021, and it was already ready in the spring of 2022. In his answer to journalists, Hutsulyak explained it as "magic".

The prosecutor's father, Viktor Hutsulyak, told journalists a different version: according to him, he purchased the plot back in 2021, but did not formalize it, but "made an agreement with the developer." At the same time, according to him, he did not tell his son anything about this deal, and then construction began. Viktor Hutsuliak also stated that he is engaged in business and can afford it.

According to Bihus.Info, the official income of the prosecutor's father in recent years would have been insufficient to purchase both real estate and a new car. Recently, Viktor Hutsuliak also became the owner of two more apartments — in Kyiv and Irpen.
