Kyivstar, a telecommunications operator that was the victim of a hacker attack on December 12, has announced the gradual restoration of its networks and services. According to the company, as of today, the Home Internet network has been restored by 93%.
A message on the company's Facebook page states that some localities may experience short-term connectivity difficulties, but specialists are working to resolve them. The company apologizes for any inconvenience and expresses gratitude for users' patience.
Kyivstar also noted that along with the restoration of the network, it plans to provide compensation to subscribers who were forced to temporarily remain without communication.
Although the reasons for the attack have not yet been fully determined, the Ukrainian security service has already opened criminal proceedings and is considering the version of a possible Russian trace in this incident.
According to Kyivstar representatives, this incident is complex and requires cooperation with security services and other authorities to fully clarify the circumstances. The company undertakes to continue to facilitate the investigation and take measures to further enhance cybersecurity.
