Communication operator "Kyivstar", which became a victim of a hacker attack on December 12, announced the gradual restoration of its networks and services. According to the company, as of today, the "Home Internet" network has been restored by 93%.
In a message on the company's Facebook page, it is stated that there may be short-term difficulties with communication in some settlements, but specialists are working on their solution. The company apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks users for their patience.
"Kyivstar" also noted that together with the restoration of the network, it plans to provide compensation to subscribers who were forced to remain temporarily without communication.
Although the reasons for the attack have not yet been fully determined, the Security Service of Ukraine has already opened criminal proceedings and is considering the version of a possible Russian trace in this incident.
According to "Kyivstar" representatives, this incident is complex and requires cooperation with security services and other authorities to fully clarify the circumstances. The company is committed to continuing to assist the investigation and take steps to further improve cyber security.
