The Court of Appeal of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (Wax) left unchanged the court of first instance, which was declared unreasonable assets of the family of an employee of the Kharkiv District Police Department. It is a Lexus LX 450D SUV and part of the apartment in Kharkiv - a total of almost 8 million hryvnias.
According to the Law and Business, with reference to the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACC), the results of the NAPC, DBR, NABU and SAP jointly made the basis for making such a decision.
According to the case file, the law enforcement officer and his wife owns a Lexus car in 2018 worth UAH 3.8 million, as well as an apartment in Kharkiv market price UAH 5.8 million. However, the analysis of official income and savings of the spouse shows that their funds would not have enough to buy either a premium clin or real estate.
Therefore, the court recognized part of the cost of the apartment - 4 million hryvnias - and the full value of the car unjustified assets, which will be collected into the state income in accordance with Article 290 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. The decision came into force immediately after proclamation.
This is another example of a lifestyle monitoring mechanism and effective interagency cooperation can identify and remove the illegally acquired property of officials.
