The state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" announced impressive achievements in the preservation of natural resources. During the year, the area of forest fires decreased by 43 times, which is an impressive indicator of success in fighting forest fires.
Main achievements:
- Reduction of fires: Director of State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" Yury Bolokhovets reported that the state-owned enterprise reduced the area of fires by 43 times. This means that tens of thousands of hectares of forest were preserved, which were annually destroyed by fires.
- Planting of new trees: An incredible 195 million new trees were planted on the territory of the State Enterprise "Lisa Ukrainy" this year. This exceeds the volume of landings across Ukraine last year.
- Record financial indicators: SE "Lisa Ukrainy" showed record financial results. Payment of dividends to the state tripled, reaching 10.5 billion hryvnias. Profitability increased from 6% to 14%, and profit more than doubled to 3 billion hryvnias.
- Effective management and savings: Due to effective management and application of new technologies, State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" saved almost 300 million hryvnias thanks to the transition to the Prozorro procurement system.
- Combating illegal logging: More than a thousand inspections of branches have been carried out, new tools to combat illegal logging have been introduced, in particular, photo-fixation of timber loading onto a vehicle.
- Realization of property objects and assistance to the Armed Forces: Implementation of 56 subsidized property objects was carried out, as well as assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the amount of about 300 million hryvnias.
Yuriy Bolokhovets called for further efforts and improvement of record indicators. The company plans to continue the construction of modern seed centers and increase the share of seedlings with a closed root system. Thanks to the achieved results, "Forests of Ukraine" will continue to be an example of effective management and sustainable development.
